Kevin Owens would love to step in the ring with the legendary HBK.
WrestleMania has featured a lot of moments for Kevin Owens, from battling in a ladder match to fighting Stone Cold to being in the main event with Sami Zayn to defeat The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 39 a year ago.
During a conversation with Fanatics Live, this is what Owens had to say about a certain legend he has been trying to convince to wrestle him one day.
“I keep bothering Shawn Michaels every year to come back. He just won’t. He’s so nice about it every year. This year, I texted him, he didn’t answer me for two months and then when he answered me it was to say, ‘Well, I know I’m a little late, but I just had shoulder surgery, so I don’t think it’s happening.’ You could’ve said no two months ago. You didn’t have to get cut for it,” he joked.
Owens is set to battle Randy Orton and Logan Paul for the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania 40.
