Top Knockout Killer Kelly Taking Time Off, NOT Finished With TNA

Killer Kelly was not involved in anything this weekend with TNA at their TV tapings in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena, and there is a reason for that.

But it’s not all “doom and gloom” as some people think.

Kelly has been teaming with Masha Slamovich as MK Ultra, and the duo are two-time TNA Tag Team Champions.

Early this morning, PWinsider.com reported that “Killer Kelly’s most recent run with TNA has ended, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Kelly finished up at the Sacrifice PPV.  She had worked for the company over the last few years, including a run with the Knockouts Tag Team Championship teaming with Masha Slamovich.

PWInsider is told that TNA will begin teasing a new potential partner for Slamovich in the weeks ahead.

Obviously this was somewhat worrisome after the news that the Motor City Machine Guns could be on their way out of the the company.

Moments after the PWInsider.com report came out, Fightful Select confirmed the report.

“Fightful has confirmed PWInsider’s report that as of now, Killer Kelly is finished up with the company as of TNA Sacrifice.”

A few hours ago, Fightful Select updated their report, stating that Killer Kelly isn’t going anywhere quite yet.

Fightful spoke to TNA sources this weekend who cleared up miscommunication within the company, and said that Killer Kelly has not left. In fact, as of now, she’s under contract until Augusf of 2025.

The term “finished up” after TNA Sacrifice that was used was due to her taking some time off. She isn’t factored in to creative plans as of now.

This is great news in the big picture that Kelly is not departing the company, but it is a big blow to the already-dwindling Knockouts tag team division.

Kelly was recently revealed to be starring in a new short horror film called Arachnid.

Hopefully Masha’s new partner will be someone she’s familiar with; maybe a Stardom talent or something like that.

Bodyslam will keep you all posted as this situation unfolds.
