TNA Announces New “First-Time-Ever” Matches For Saturday 2300 Arena TV Taping

Moments ago, TNA Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to reveal new matches for this weekends 2300 Arena TV tapings in Philadelphia.

A batch of first-time-ever matchups, we’ll get to see some unique competition.

Moose vs Trent Seven

TNA World Champion and leader of The System, Moose has been on a winning and dominant track since becoming the champion at Hard To Kill.

Trent Seven is one half of the “Speedball Mountain” team, and has one of the hardest and most vicious slaps/back hands in the business, which is why he and Bailey work well together. Trent can definitely hold his own against any opponent, and the World Champion will likely be no different.

-Ace Austin vs Mike Bailey vs Kushida

Three X division guys who have recently battled in the tag team division at some point or another, this should be a fantastic showcase of each competitors individual talents. Two of the three are former X division champions in their own right.

Ace Austin is also most recently a former tag team champion with his partner, Chris Bey. Ace recently competed against Frankie Kazarian, where he unfortunately fell short and tapped out to the Chicken Wing submission.

Mike Bailey has had some good showings recently with his partner, Trent Seven. Both recently teamed with Nic Nemeth & picked up a victory over the team of Maclin the The Rascalz.

Maclin vs Kevin Knight

Coming off a loss to Nic Nemeth at Sacrifice and then teaming with The Rascalz and beating defeated by Nemeth & Speedball Mountain after his own teammates left him to fend for himself, Maclin looks to bounce back in what should be a fantastic match against an up-and-comer in Kevin Knight.

Knight is more of a high-flying style, which Maclin is hard-hitting. The clash in styles should make for a great match.

Alex Hammerstone & Tasha Steelz vs Josh Alexander & Jordynne Grace

Hammerstone just defeated Josh Alexander at Sacrifice when he took advantage of the referee being knocked out and then a low blow followed by the Nightmare Pendulum to finish Josh off. Hammerstone then removed Josh’s head gear and took it with him like a trophy.

Josh was furious on the weekly TNA iMPACT broadcast last week when he came out to the ring and called out Hammerstone after saying he cheated to win because he can’t beat Josh without cheating. Hammerstone never showed up.

Tasha Steelz battled Jordynne Grace and Xia Brookside at Sacrifice for the Knockouts World Title. Brookside was beaten and pinned by Grace. Of course, that led to Steelz challenging Grace this past week for a Knockouts World Title match this week, saying she was never pinned and should get Grace one-on-one.

Jordynne Grace prides herself on being a fighting champion, so of course when Xia Brookside and Tasha Steelz were fighting weeks ago for who would get their shot at Grace and the Knockouts World Title. After a double Count out, Grace emerged and said she would defend against both women, because that’s the kind of champion she is. Grace defeated Brookside to retain her title, and will likely defeat Steelz tonight during the weekly episode.
