MLW Reportedly ‘Interested’ in Bringing in Mauro Ranallo

Could Mauro Ranallo be returning to professional wrestling?

According to Fightful Select, Major League Wrestling is ‘interested’ in acquiring the services of longtime WWE NXT commentator, Mauro Ranallo.

“The longtime combat sports and pro wrestling commentator has been absent from the pro wrestling scene for quite a while, but that could be about to change.

Fightful Select has learned that MLW has been in talks with Ranallo about possibly appearing for the MLW brand. There isn’t a done deal, but there is interest on MLW’s side. MLW owner Court Bauer and Mauro had worked together on a Strikeforce project in the past.”

Mauro Ranallo worked with WWE from 2016 through 2020, where he was the lead play-by-play man on the call for SmackDown as well as manning the desk for NXT the majority of his tenure in the company. Ranallo took a lengthy absence from professional wrestling commentary but briefly returned to the booth to call the IMPACT Wrestling ‘Rebellion’ main event in 2021 between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann.
