Asuka’s inclusion in the triple threat TLC match for the Smackdown Women’s title at TLC was certainly unexpected. Man fans were happy that she finally got another opportunity. After all, her place in the company as of late had been subpar. However, they did wonder why Asuka got this opportunity in the first place.
According to Fightful, The Empress of Tomorrow is receiving the push due to the reaction she got from fans when Becky Lynch stood in front of her during the segment where Becky Lynch was choosing her Survivor Series replacement.
Vince McMahon was said to be “caught off guard” by the fact that Asuka received a bigger reaction than Charlotte Flair did. So, WWE decided to give Asuka a renewed push.
We will have to wait and see how long Asuka will be pushed by the WWE. If WWE goes with its original plans, it is safe to assume she will be getting a push for a long time.
