What Really Was WWE’s Reason For Replacing Kurt Angle As RAW General Manager?

As we saw on Monday Night’s episode of RAW, General Manager Kurt Angle was relieved of his duties and told to take some time off. He was replaced by Constable Baron Corbin, who is now the acting RAW General Manager.

Last night I was a guest on Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred podcast, during the show we discussed Kurt Angle’s removal as RAW GM. During the segment Joseph Peisich reported that the reason Angle was removed as General Manager of RAW is because there are plans in place for him to return to the ring and wrestle full-time. Joseph added that he also heard that Angle may be back sometime in October.

Regarding Kurt Angles removal as RAW GM, and his future plans with the company, Peisich said:

“Kurt Angle was forced to take a sabbatical. Why? Because Kurt Angle is coming back not as the GM but as a wrestler. Yes, Kurt Angle will be a full-time wrestler when he comes back. I’ve heard he might come back in October. Look for him.”

During the conversation it was also revealed by Peisich that while currently Kurt Angle is not booked or advertised for WWE’s upcoming Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia, that he will in fact be participating in the event in some capacity.
