A scary situation occurred last night during Week 2 of the AAA Noche de Los Grandes tapings, when Octagon Jr. was taken out on a stretcher after suffering an injury during a Fatal 5 Way match.
The injury happened when Octagon Jr. was on the receiving end of a top rope tornado DDT from WWE Superstar Joaquin Wilde. Wilde went for the pin following the move, which was broken up by El Hijo de Vikingo hitting the two with a top rope splash. Octagon Jr. appeared to have injured his neck while taking the move, and the referee was checking on him when Vikingo connected with the splash. The ref quickly threw up the “X” signal stopping the match momentarily, while Octagon Jr. was helped out of the ring and taken to the back on a stretcher.
