Tonight’s WWE RAW opening from Phoenix, Arizona was headlined by a World Heavyweight Championship bout when Jey Uso defended his gold against former champion, GUNTHER. Jey defeated GUNTHER at WrestleMania to capture the gold, and now It’s rematch time.
Jey Uso has had a rough few weeks. Getting beat down by Seth Rollins and crew, and catching a tsunami by Bronson Reed. Then he had a main event match at Money In The Bank where he took a beating from John Cena and Logan Paul. To top it all off, he has a fresh GUNTHER standing across from him tonight.
Jey put up a great fight, and had a few near falls, but in the end, it was GUNTHER who locked in a sleeper hold and put Jey Uso out cold. GUNTHER picked up the win and is now a 2 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Congratulations, GUNTHER. He is the first person to be a two time champion with this version of the World Heavyweight Title.
