Risa Sera Retirement

Risa Sera is a Japanese professional wrestler who’s worked various promotions including Prominence, FREEDOMS, Sendai Girls, Sukeban, STARDOM and has even worked in the United States with GCW.

While she does wrestle normal matches, Risa is best known for her DeathMatch wrestling and hardcore style. Coming out to the ring wielding either light tubes or a kendo stick, Risa has battled some of the fiercest competition in the DeathMatch scene. Now, she’s hanging up the boots.

Today on a Prominence event, Risa Sera announced that she will be retiring in January of next year. She followed it up with a tweet reiterating her announcement. Translation:

”Thank you for coming to the Prominence 3rd Anniversary Event today. As I announced earlier, I have decided to retire on January 12th next year at Korakuen Hall. I still have time, so I’m going to do everything I want to do and then quit! Thank you for your support until the end!!”

We wish Risa Sera well in her retirement and look forward to her last couple of months in the ring. Best of luck!
