Who leads the GFL fighters?
Global Fight League
GFL (Global Fight League) is a new MMA organization that is team based. The first event is said to be taking place later this year, but we now know team managers and coaches, as GFL revealed today.
Six major cities will play host for team bases, with one coach and one manager representing their fighters in those cities. Per GFL, the teams thus far are as follows:
- Los Angeles – Manager: Wanderlei Silva Coach: Rafael Corderio
- New York – Coach: Ray Longo Manager: TBD.
- Miami – Manager: Thiago Alves Coach: Conan Silveria
- São Paulo – Manager: Lyoto Machida Coach: André Pederneiras
- London – Manager: Luke Barnatt Coach: Carl Prince
- Dubai – Manager: Cain Velasquez Coach: Javier Mendez
The GFL Draft is set to take place January 24th, with coaches and managers picking fighters for their teams. We’ll have updates on the draft to come.
