Shayna Baszler Claims Her And Ronda Rousey Are The Only Team In The WWE Women’s Tag Team Division

Shayna Baszler claims she and Ronda Rousey are the only team in the WWE Women’s Tag Team division.

The pairing are long time friends and are the current champions of the division. The pair defended the titles on Monday’s RAW, taking on the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Baszler argued that she and Rousey are the only real team in the division.

“I don’t know, it’s hard to say. Here’s the thing, we said this when people were complaining that we got tossed in that WrestleMania match. We’re the only real team around. You love Liv and Raquel together, sure, but they were kind of just thrown together. You love these other two people, Sonya and Chelsea, but they kind of just happened to make their friendship work because they’re the way they are. But me and Ronda have been a team literally since 2013, and we’ve been friends, and it’s gonna be hard to get past that. I think if you look at me and Ronda separately, when one of us walks out, you know that, win or lose, someone’s getting messed up. So I think now put us together, and then on top of that, we have a history and a chemistry and a relationship, you’re gonna be hard-pressed to find anyone in the company with that depth of a relationship that we have. But I say bring it on. We want to defend these [titles] every week. So let’s go, see who gets thrown at us,”

We will have to wait and see what other teams will step up to Shayna and Ronda now that the pair are champions, but hopefully the division will be revitalized with the former mixed martial artists team.
