Yuji Nagata Set To Defend AJPW Triple Crown Title Against Super Rookie Yuma Anzai

All Japan Pro-Wrestling’s super rookie Yuma Anzai will have the opportunity to become the youngest AJPW Triple Crown Champion on June 17th as he will challenge current champion Yuji Nagata for the title. The match is set to take place at AJPW New Age MANIAx event at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Yuma Anzai, who has had only 45 matches to date in his young career, defeated top contender Ryuki Honda on May 29th at AJPW Super Power Series. After his huge victory, Anzai confronted and challenged Yuji Nagata after Nagata retained the title against T-Hawk on the same night. Nagata accepted the challenge and AJPW has made the match official for June 17th.

If Yuma Anzai wins the AJPW Triple Crown Title, he will be the youngest person ever to hold the championship at 24 years old. Right now, Kento Miyahara is the youngest ever AJPW Triple Crown Champion winning the title at 26 years of age. Anzai has vowed to win the belt from Nagata on June 17th at AJPW New Age MANIAx
