Eddie Edwards Defeats Yuya Uemura, Gets Confronted By Frankie Kazarian Post-Match, New Match Set For Against All Odds
Eddie Edwards took on NJPW young lion, Yuya Uemura on last nights IMPACTonAXSTV broadcast. This match didn’t last long, but Yuya had some good spots.
Eddie Edwards blocked Yuya’s attempt at a cross body drop off the top rope by sticking his knee up. Eddie picked Yuya up and nailed him with a Tiger Driver, followed by a pinfall attempt. Eddie set himself up in the corner waiting for Yuya to get to his feet. As soon as he did, Eddie rushed at him and nailed Yuya with the Boston Knee Party and this time got the 3 count for the victory.
Yuya extended his hand to Eddie for a shake. Eddie snubbed him, and laughed in his face. As soon as Eddie rolls out of the ring, Frankie Kazarian emerges from the back with a microphone. He talks about how Eddie claims to be a locker room leader, somebody for the young guys to look up to, and then does dumb shit like this. Kazarian says that’s not how this locks room operates. Eddie laughs and turns his back to Kazarian as he walks walks away. Frankie turns Eddie around and knocks him back on his ass with a few punches.
Alisha jumps onto Kaz’s back and then he flings her off.
Kazarian and Eddie Edwards were both part of a 6 man #1 contenders match at Under Siege and immediately went after each other and battled the whole match.
Kazarian versus Eddie Edwards was made official for a match at Against All Odds.
