IC Title Match With GUNTHER Is Discussed By Mustafa Ali, Who Refers To Himself As The New People’s Champion

Mustafa Ali received an Intercontinental championship shot on the most recent edition of “WWE Raw.” He will now face GUNTHER for the title, and the dominant champion is unquestionably the favorite to win. Ali, on the other hand, has pledged to win gold when the two meet at WWE Night of Champions on May 27.

“Some people want to call me an underdog. No, no, no — I am the favorite. I am going to be the next Intercontinental Champion,”

Ali related his upcoming fight to the biblical fable “David and Goliath,” in which a small underdog faces a giant. That battle was won by the underdog, and Ali is convinced that he will overcome the huge GUNTHER at Night of Champions as well. According to Ali, he’s spent his entire career battling difficulties, and he’s motivated to show people why they were wrong to dismiss him in the past.

“I feel like my entire life has been about overcoming adversity.”

“I was invited to the Cruiserweight Classic, but not as a competitor – I was an alternate. I was the last guy to be signed to ‘205 Live’… I’ve always been the forgotten man, the one at the bottom of the barrel.”

He believes he has always been regarded as a tremendous performer, but he wants to prove he truly is the ultimate WWE Superstar at Night of Champions.

Ali went on to say that he has always desired to be a WWE champion, but he has a bigger calling. He stated that his surname means “The Chosen One” by the people, making him the “new People’s Champion.”
