According To Tommy Dreamer, Roman Reigns Should Surpass Hulk Hogan’s Four-Year Title Reign.

Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, and Bruno Sammartino (who is on the list twice) have the top five longest WWE Championship reigns in WWE’s 60-year history. With his current Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign, Roman Reigns is nibbling at the heels of these icons. With 989 days and counting, he is now in sixth place. And, if Tommy Dreamer had his way, the “Head of the Table” would keep his title until he broke into the top three.

On the most recent episode of “Busted Open Radio,” the ECW icon stated that he would like to see the “Tribal Chief” break Hogan’s 1474-day title run by keeping his belt until well after Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. If he achieves this extraordinary achievement, Reigns will surpass Morales’ 1027-day reign and Sammartino’s 1237-day second reign as champion.

While this topic has sparked heated debate among fans and pundits alike, Dreamer contends that when the dominant champion approaches these milestones, more possible narratives emerge. In addition to the current situation between Solo Sikoa and the Usos, Reigns may call out Hogan and invite him to witness him break his record. The Hulkster may then enlist the help of a protege to prevent this from happening. There are lots of parts in play to keep the plot moving, including Paul Heyman, whom the “Innovator of Violence” describes as “the best mouthpiece to get something over.”
