The One Plot Hole Fix For The New World Heavyweight Championship

Last night on RAW something noteworthy happened and no, it’s not Seth Rollins’ latest fit but rather a new world championship aka the world heavyweight championship which was unveiled by Triple H.

That’s right! Big Goldie is back but with a black WWE logo pasted in the middle which kinda ruins it but it’s at least better than the current WWE championship which looks as original as the Burberry logo.

This belt marks the 3rd top title in WWE right now and it not only raises more questions than answers but it also feels like a “spelling bee participation trophy”.

Why can’t they create a new undisputed championship belt design instead? Why can’t Triple H just strip him of one of the titles as a result of Roman not being the champion that “the fans acknowledge”?

It also reinforces the fact that brotha Cody should’ve won the match at Wrestlemania 39 so that they can separate one of the belts after but that would make me as fan feel satisfied and WWE doesn’t like that most of the time.

WWE has a habit of “go with the flow” type of storytelling and in rare cases, it has actually worked most notably the Kofimania storyline but in most cases like Roman Reigns’ current title reign and Bianca Belair’s reign, having the “we’ll worry about this later on” type of mentality just doesn’t work and it sacrifices every bit of momentum they had for a particular performer or storyline for the sake of “breaking records” and having “longest title reigns ever”.

Now look, I ain’t no Adam Blampied but I have a small fantasy booking fix on WWE’s world titles situation.

Remember the second question of “why can’t Hunter strip Roman of one of the top titles”?

Have Triple H flex his authority by stripping the WWE championship that Roman currently holds since Wrestlemania 38 and combine it with the new world title, calling it the “WWE world heavyweight championship” like they did back in 2013 after the WWE title and the world heavyweight title were unified.

That way, WWE still keeps the legacy of the WWE title, gets rid of the awfully generic WWE title belt design and embraces the new WWE world heavyweight championship design.

Is it a perfect solution? No but it’s by far their best solution. Whatever you think about this, we all can agree that WWE has raised more eyebrows that’ll make Dwayne Johnson jealous after that announcement.
