Cody Rhodes Thinks Brandi Is Almost As Deserving Of The WWE Championship As He Is

In February 2022, Cody and Brandi Rhodes left AEW, the same company they assisted in founding. At WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes made his comeback to the WWE, and ever since, he’s been all-in on his goal of winning the WWE Championship.

Cody Rhodes discussed how crucial it is for him to be able to tell his wife and daughter that he gave his all to achieve this ambition. He elaborated on the same and even claimed that Brandi Rhodes is much more deserving of winning the WWE title than him recently during an interview with Z100’s Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover.

“It’s not a story that anyone’s ever really going to know, but I wouldn’t even be able to have come back if Brandi had not made a very selfless decision that changed my life. It’s hard to even speak about it without getting emotional.

Brandi deserves the WWE Championship almost more than I do. I really look forward to trying to be able to do that. As a husband and a father, you report back to these girls. You report back to them, and that would lead me to the other most important woman in my life, which is my daughter. [She] doesn’t have a clue what’s going on, but I feel such a responsibility to report back hopefully with two championships and to just report back having given everything I possibly could.”

Cody Rhodes is set for the biggest night of his life at WrestleMania 39 when he battles Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship in the main event. The American Nightmare is aiming to achieve his destiny and finish the story with him walking away with the titles that would be a delight to watch for the fans and Cody’s family as well.
