Seth Rollins Discusses Losing The Curb Stomp And How He Got It Back

Seth Rollins’ move set is an eclectic blend of styles. Still, some fans would trade in all of his flashy maneuvers for a good old-fashioned curb stomp. WWE banned that move for a while, but it didn’t take a lot of effort to bring it back when the time was right.

While speaking with Fightful, Seth Rollins recalled losing his favorite finisher after he won the WWE Title at WrestleMania 31. He invaded Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar’s main event match with the Money in the Bank briefcase and changed WWE history with one curb stomp. Then he lost the move.

“I lost it the day after I won the title at WrestleMania. I had a conversation with Vince, he said, ‘No more.’ I said, ‘Ah! But!’ He said, ‘Nope. That’s the end of it.’ Years later, I finished the story with Triple H, which was the Pedigree that was majorly involved in that, and it just felt like a time to get a new finish. I can go back to the old one and it just took a conversation and me trying to explain it to him in a way that he could understand. Time heals all wounds. So, whatever had wounded him, he was over it. So, he said, ‘Alright, bring it back,’ and here we are.”

Seth Rollins might make history once again with his stomp at WrestleMania 39 against Logan Paul. He recently accidentally turned babyface once again thanks to delivering that punishing move on Matt Riddle. We’ll have to see what’s next for the Drip God, but he is still doing his thing every time the camera is on.
