Jay Briscoe’s Homophobic Tweets Not Only Reason For Warner’s Ban Of The Briscoes

For many wrestling fans, The Briscoes controversy centres around homophobic tweets sent by Jay Briscoe in the past. However, it appears that may not be the only reason Warner Media would ban the iconic ROH tag team from AEW programming.

As reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the homophobic social media posts by Jay Briscoe from nearly 10 years ago were not the only reason why the ROH Tag Team Champions could not appear on Dynamite or Rampage.

It was noted within the Newsletter that it was also due to Confederate Flag Jackets the pair have worn to the ring in the past.

However, the ban would be lifted ahead of this week’s AEW Dynamite after the tragic passing of Jay Briscoe earlier this month. Mark Briscoe faced off with Jay Lethal in the main even of Wednesday’s show and the locker room would come onto the stage to celebrate the life of Jay Briscoe.
