Saraya: This Was The Most Nervous I’ve Ever Been In My Career

Saraya of course has a a lot of emotions coming out of her AEW Debut.

Saraya is back after five years and as you can imagine, that must be very emotional. During the AEW Full Gear post show media scrum, Saraya was asked how she felt emotionally going into her AEW debut match and she went on to explain how it was the most nervous she’s ever been and mentioned the relief of it being done.

So much was going on, I was like “thank gosh!” You know, but like, walking out, this was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my career because I wanna give 110% and I know, like, in AEW, I felt like I had to step up my wrestling game. You know, wrestlers everywhere are fantastic but I feel like the caliber of AEW Women’s wrestling is just so high and I’m like man, you know, we have Toni, we have Jamie Hayter on the show today, and I’m like “oh my gosh, like, please go before them!” They’re just so good. All the women here are so good. So, yeah, I had a lot of emotions like, okay, also I felt like there was a lot of eyes on the match, too cause a lot of eyes, even non-wrestling fans, you know, so, there was just a lot of focus on this show and I was like “man, I don’t wanna let anybody down. I don’t wanna let Tony down” you know, he’s given me this opportunity and I’m so happy, but, yeah, we got through it and once we got done I was like “okay, I can like relax for a second.” But, yeah, I’m just over the moon. I can’t believe I had my first match back. I never thought this would happen in my life.
