IMPACT Wrestling X Division Title Match & 2 Pre Show Countdown Matches Now Set For LIVE Overdrive Event Tonight Night
During last night’s IMPACT Wrestling IMPACTonAXSTV episode, Black Taurus defeated PJ Black as part of the vacant X Division Title Tournament, and he will now take on Trey Miguel tonight at Overdrive to crown a new champion.
Taurus hit the DESTINATION HELLHOLE and then pinned PJ Black to advance to the championship match against Trey Miguel for the X Division Title.
Black Taurus defeated Laredo Kid in the first round of the X Division Title tournament to advance to the next round. Taurus had a great introduction from his faction-mate and friend, Crazzy Steve.
Will Black Taurus finally get a coveted X Division Title run? Most IMPACT fans hope so, but we’ll have to tune in to OVERDRIVE tonight to find out!
Also announced during the show episode last night were 2 pre show “Countdown to Overdrive” matches.
Coming off of a HUGE tag team win last night on IMPACTonAXSTV, Bullet Club members Chris Bey and Ace Austin will battle with the current NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions, the Motor City Machine Guns, in a #1 contenders match for the IMPACT Tag Team Titles.
We will also see a 6-man match when “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Kenny King, Yuya Uemura, Jason Hotch, Bhupinder Gujjar, and Rich Swann will all battle it out on the second pre-show “countdown to Overdrive” match.
Rich Swann defeated Laredo Kid last night in one of the best IMPACT matches we’ve seen in a long time.
Mike Bailey, Yuya Uemura, and Kenny King all participated in the X Division Title tournament. King lost in the first round, as did Yuya. Bailey made it to the second round, where Kenny King interfered and cost him the match. There is some definite tension building up between those two, so their interaction in this match should be interesting.
Yuya defeated Andrew Everett last night in the Before The IMPACT pre show.
Bhupinder Gujjar’s most recent match was a few weeks ago and he lost to one of the Major Players – Matt Cardona.
Who will come out on top in this match?
We’ll have to tune in to find out!
