Maclin has been all over IMPACT Wrestling lately, and for good reason. He defeated both Sami Callihan and Moose in a Barbed Wire Massacre Match at Victory Road, defeated Moose shortly after that in a singles match, and then went on to be 1 of the final 2 talent left in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at Bound for Glory.
Maclin was recently a guest on the Undisputed podcast with Bobby Fish. Here’s what he had to say about it:
I’m gunning for Josh Alexander at IMPACT, he’s the World Champion. He has a big match coming up at Over Drive,”
When asked when he’ll be facing Alexander, Maclin replied,
“I don’t know, that’s up to Scott D’Amore to make that match. I’ve been beating all these former World Champions and everybody just keeps waltzing in and gets their shot. You would think after you would win matches, you would eventually get a title shot. It doesn’t seem to be working that way right now.”
Last week during the IMPACTonAXSTV episode, Maclin cut a video promo putting Josh and the IMPACT World Title on notice.
One would think this seems him worthy of a title shot, but apparently not in IMPACT, where other people are just walking in and asking/demanding a shot and they seem to have no problem getting theirs. Hell, maybe Maclin should try bumping into Josh backstage. That seems to be a common theme these days.
Most fans hope Maclin gets the IMPACT World Title shot that he deserves. Why? Because its…TAG EM & BAG EM. MAYHEM FOR ALL!
Maclin is not currently slated for a match at the Overdrive LIVE event, but that could always change.
