IMPACT Wrestling Contract News

Fightful Select has a few IMPACT Wrestling contract updates.

No, not departures. There’s been enough of those lately.

FightfulSelect.com is reporting that Eric Young, who has been with IMPACT Wrestling for the last two years, will be for a little bit longer at least.

Young returned to IMPACT in 2020 shortly after being released by WWE, and immediately won the IMPACT World Championship.

Since then, he’s remained an integral figure on the program, even staying on television during a knee injury that kept him out of in-ring action.
Upon arriving back in IMPACT, it was revealed that he’d signed a “multi-year contract” with the brand.

We can confirm that his deal didn’t be run out this Summer, which would hit the “multi-year” mark, or after Bound For Glory. Instead, we’ve learned that the deal was extended at least through the end of 2022, which will keep the former champion with the company.

In other contract news, Crazzy Steve also had signed a multi-year deal around that time, that we’ve confirmed is not up this year.

Eric Young was over in the United Kingdom twice this year scoping out talent and hyping the company, so hopefully we’ll see some events in the UK in 2023.

Young main evented the Slammiversary PPV back in June of this year when he challenged Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World title. Young us the leader of the Violent By Design group and is in the process of revamping the group.

Most recently, Eric took part in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory last weekend.

IMPACT Wrestling announced earlier today that they have re-signed Chris Bey a new, multi-year contract to stay with the company.

It seems despite some talent leaving, others are staying, and that’s great to hear.

Crazzy Steve last competed on an IMPACT episode when he challenged Brian Myers for the IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Title, but fell short of winning the match.

Crazzy Steve is a member of the Decay group along with Rosemary and Black Taurus. He’ll be escorting Taurus to the ring tonight for his 6 Way X Division match.
