Victory Road Review: Bobby Fish Debuts, New Matches Announced for Bound for Glory
Countdown to Victory Road-
Ace Austin, Chris Bey, and Juice Robinson, all repping Bullet Club, took on 3 Gut Check winners. Good 8-10 minute match. Ace got the pinfall victory over Jack Price.
Backstage segment with Heath, Swann, and Josh hyping their match
Killer Kelly vs Tasha Steelz w/Savannah Evans
Savannah tries to choke Kelly with a chain while the ref is distracted. Kelly drops her weight and makes Savannah fall off the ring apron. Kelly grabs the chain and uses it to choke Tasha out. Before the referee can call for the bell, Kelly chokes him out as well until backstage officials come to break it up. No official conclusion to this match.
Victory Road main show
Kicks off with “Speedball” Mike Bailey defending his title against Delirious.
Bailey wins. 9 successful title defenses. Delirious looked mu better then most of us expected
Backstage segment with Maria and all of Honor No More gathered. They’re all involved in different matches tonight. Eddie tells PCO he doesn’t trust him and that he should’ve won his match last night against Heath.
Gail confronts Killer Kelly backstage and says she has to be punished for attacking the official/referee earlier. She says Kelly will be fined. Kelly says she loves being punished.
PCO/Vincent Vs MCMG. Shelley pins Vincent.
X Division champ Mike Bailey has some words for whoever wins the Triple Threat Revolver match later and will end up challenging him at Bound for Glory
Shaw Vs Mickie
MCMG had words for OGK ahead of their match at Bound for Glory
Mickie James takes on Gisele Shaw. After a good match all around, Mickie finally hits the MickDT to get the pinfall. The “Last Rodeo” continues.
Triple Threat Revolver – Winner gets their x division title shot at Bound for Glory
Laredo Kid vs Black Taurus vs Mia Yim vs Kenny King Vs Trey Miguel vs Alex Zayne vs Yuya Uemura
Starts with Laredo Kid, Yim, and Trey. Yim eliminates Zayne. Kenny King in next. King eliminates Yim. Yuya uemura in next.
Trey eliminates Yuya. Kazarian out next. Kaz taps out Trey. Black Taurus out next. King, Taurus, and Kazarian are the last 3 competitors. Kazarian pins Kenny King to win the match.
AEW star Frankie Kazarian gets an X Division title shot at Bound for Glory.
Former AEW talent Bobby Fish debuts in IMPACT Wrestling!
Taya, Jessicka, and Rosemary approach Gail Kim backstage, and talk about wanting their rematch for the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Titles. Gail agrees, but Taya asks if Jessicka can replace Rosemary as her tag team partner for the match. Gail obliges. The current champs, Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green, both show up and explain that it doesn’t matter who they’re opponents are…they’re going to keep their titles either way.
Eddie Edwards/IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions, OGK (Mike Bennett/Matt TAVEN) take on the team of: IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Josh Alexander, former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion, Rich Swann…and Heath. Damn good match. Ends with Eddie Edwards nailing Josh with the Boston Knee Party, followed up with a Die Hard Driver for the victory.
We go backstage to Mia Yim sitting on a couch. Mickie James approaches and sits down next to her. Mickie talks about how Mia made history tonight being the very first Knockout to participate in the Triple Threat Revolver match. Mia mentions how cool that is. Mickie says how she admires Mia so much that she wants to wrestle her at the biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory. After brief hesitation, Mia agrees.
Jordynne Grace defends her IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World title and takes on Max the Impaler w/Father James Mitchell next. To end a brutal contest, Grace hits the Grace Driver and gains the pinfall victory over Max. Post match, Jordynne wants Masha to meet her own Pick Your Poison opponent – Allie Katch.
A video package airs for the newest inductee for the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame – RAVEN.
We go backstage to Gia Miller for one last word with Moose before the Barbed Wire Massacre match.
Sami Callihan pays tribute to hardcore icon, Mick Foley, with his ring gear.
After a great battle between the 3 competitors, Maclin finally seized an opportunity and hit Sami with a KIA over a door that’s covered in barbed wire to win the match.
