Paul Heyman remains a part of WWE’s backstage team despite being off screen, selling the attack at the hands of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
Heyman has been a pivotal member of The Bloodline since the faction formed, functioning as The Wise Man for the faction. Heyman has been off screen since Brock Lesnar F5’d him through the WWE Announce Table during Brock’s match with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer noted that Heyman remains a part of the backstage team at SmackDowns and major events.
Paul Heyman is still at all the Smackdowns and major events but is not going to appear on camera until they probably give him a dynamic return

Time will tell how and when Paul Heyman will return to WWE TV, but for now he remains backstage.
