Official: Devin Haney vs. George Kambosos Jr Rematch Set for Undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF & WBO Lightweight World Titles on Oct 15th in Melbourne, Australia

It’s repeat or revenge this October in Melbourne, Australia when Devin Haney defends the gold vs. George Kambosos Jr.

The poster above was revealed after the announcement that was made this afternoon. Kambosos Jr will look to get revenge vs. the undefeated Haney who took Kambosos Jr’s undefeated streak and won the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles while also defending the WBC lightweight title.

At first many speculated that it would be Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Haney for the gold. But after Lomachenko arrived in Los Angeles last Saturday night and signed the contract to fight on October 29th in New York vs. lightweight contender Jamaine Ortiz.

Haney’s undefeated streak has come with wins over Zaur Abdullaev, Alfredo Santiago, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Jorge Linares, Joseph Diaz and recently Kambosos Jr. He has a win over Kambosos Jr in Australia, with the momentum on his side he could repeat and that should lead to a fight vs. Lomachenko next year.
