Updated List of NXT UK Releases

In a very newsworthy day for the future of NXT and its sister brand NXT UK, we curated a list of NXT UK releases throughout the afternoon. In an update, several other names have now been cut.

The Nina Samuels Show is no longer on air for the WWE Network, as talented thespian announced her release just a few moments ago. Samuels, one of the more talented characters in WWE’s women’s division, will now presumably re-enter the Independent scene where she is a former Pro Wrestling EVE Champion.

Ashton Smith noted that his WWE tenure was ‘one hell of a ride,’ but it’s seemingly come to a bump in the road. Smith reminisced on winning the NXT UK Tag Team Championships with Oliver Carter back in April. Smith’s first match WWE was at the 2018 Download Festival where he picked up a win over Joseph Conners. He’s remained a stalwart on the NXT UK brand ever since.

22-year-old prodigy Millie McKenzie was perhaps the most shocking cut of the day considering the following she brings. McKenzie had signed with WWE in February of 2021 but never quite found her footing on the brand. A suplex machine, McKenzie is a very crisp worker and one of the most consistent babyfaces in British Wrestling.

Freelance journalist Kirsty Bosley had been working with WWE as a ring announcer for the UK brand, as well as conducting backstage interviews.

Former ICW star Sha Samuels has been with NXT since 2021. Competing under both the name Sha Samuels and Ed Harvey, he’s been a UK mainstay for the better part of 18 months. He’s recently been aligned with Noam Dar, but has had standout matches with talents such as Joe Coffey.

Finally, Sam Gradwell has also been released. Gradwell had been a cornerstone of the brand, debuting in 2017 during the UK tournament on the WWE Network. Though he teamed with Saxon Huxley throughout his run, he primarily worked as a singles character and recently updated his character.
