KSW Welterweight and Middleweight Champion Roberto Soldic Signs with ONE Championship

ONE Championship has just made a huge move to their divisions.

Roberto Soldic, who is the current KSW Welterweight and Middleweight champion announced during his appearance on the MMA Hour that he’s signing with ONE Championship and parting ways with KSW.

Under the nickname “Robocop”, Soldic claimed the 185-pound title this past December with a brutal second-round knockout of legend Mamed Khalidov.

He would go on to win the promotion’s 170-pound title by defeating current UFC contender Dricus Du Plessis in August 2018 by 3rd round knockout and he has successfully defended that title twice

He has won seven straight fights and 14 of his past 15. Soldić made himself into a star in KSW not just with his incredible consistency, but his highlight-reel finishes.

Soldic did mention his first bout in ONE will be an MMA bout. He’s going to focus on 170lbs first in ONE Championship but plans to continue competing in both classes.

Soldic would like to fight Eddie Alvarez on his ONE Championship debut.

Soldic also mentioned that when he did meet with the UFC. Soldic adds that Hunter Campbell made him a nice offer to come sign with the UFC, but that ONE Championship’s was better.
