Tony Khan Says He Is Now ‘Longest-Tenured CEO in Pro Wrestling’

You might ask “Is it too soon?” but evidently Tony Khan chose violence today because just moments after Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE, Khan took to Twitter to throw a little shade towards the former CEO.

Khan and various WWE personnel have traded the occasional barb every now and then, but Khan went for the throat with this one, and the reaction from WWE fans will probably be akin to the village people coming for the Beast in Beauty and the Beast.

This wasn’t the first time TK has thrown some shade towards Vince McMahon, as back in May, Khan spoke with Forbes and called into question some of McMahon’s managerial habits as it relates to the WWE’s scripts.

“To be honest, when I hear about somebody going in, and they have a TV show on Monday that they rip up,” Khan said. “My first thought is, ‘what were you doing all weekend?’ Because I work my ass off on the weekends. I have to come in with a plan for Wednesday, and Friday night, I want to make sure Dynamite’s great, and Rampage.”

Rampage will certainly be interesting this evening, as will Smackdown. Will McMahon make one final appearance on the show? Will he get any sort of acknowledgement on the show?

We’ll find out tonight!
