Adam Cole Names Kurt Angle As His Inspiration For Beginning Wrestling

Adam Cole was inspired by Kurt Angle.

Cole has been in the news a lot recently due to the fact that he has been added to the ever growing list of injuries in pro wrestling right now. Cole most recently wrestled at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where he would pick up another fresh injury. While some have speculated it is concussion related, there has yet to be confirmation on the injuries Cole sustained.

While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Adam Cole revealed that he wrestled from sixth grade to high school because of Kurt Angle.

“Reading his book, hearing about all the training he would do, getting five hours of sleep, being involved in so many different clubs, and training twice a day, I’m like, this is what I want to do. I want to be this guy who works his tail off to get to his goals. At the end of the day, I knew that I wanted to be a pro wrestler. So I actually started wrestling in middle school, in high school because of Kurt.”

Of course, Cole has been one of the best talents in the world for quite some time now. All fans would probably agree it is a good thing Kurt Angle inspired Cole to become a professional wrestler.
