Adam Cole “Cried Like A Baby” After His Final Match In NXT

A rare insight into Adam Cole’s true personality.

It’s hard to see under the exterior character that Adam Cole plays on TV, but he’s actually quite a decent fellow when you get to know him. Outside the ring, Cole has been a popular Twitch streamer and outside of kayfabe, has been credited repeatedly by other members of the industry for how talented he is.

Recently Cole spoke on  “The Kurt Angle Show.” and spoke about how he felt after his last match in NXT at NXT Takeover 36, where he faced Kyle O’Reilly.

“I’m an emotional guy, and I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but I cried like a baby after that match,”

“I’m sitting there, I’m watching this video package before the match, and its pictures of me and Kyle from 2009, and all this Ring of Honor stuff, and us wrestling each other in New Japan, and I know this is my last night at NXT … I was crying before I went out there.”

Of course, both Cole and O’Reilly would end up in AEW, with them being back aligned together in the young company. Time will tell if the two will revisit their rivalry in AEW, but Cole certainly was not happy to leave NXT despite what many might think.
