Dana White: Jon Jones is “Ready to Go Against Miocic or Ngannou”

The UFC President could be on the verge of booking a huge heavyweight championship bout before the end of the year.

Dana White was a guest on the Jim Rome show where he discussed plenty of fight news, one of the most important was the heavyweight title picture now that Jon Jones who has yet to debut is reportedly “ready to go” in the words from the boss, the debut of Jones could be against former champion Stipe Miocic or a main event UFC Heavyweight title bout against champion Francis Ngannou.

Jones was recently in the corner for Maurice Green at PFL where they lost to Denis Goltsov by decision. Jones is a former Light Heavyweight champion who won it twice, defended 11 times overall and has the longest reign with the title at 1501 days, Jones has not been beaten, a record of 26-1-1, the only loss in his record was by DQ due to an illegal elbow, other than that he’s not been on the receiving end of a loss by knockout, submission or decision.

Miocic is a former two time Heavyweight champion with four successful defenses. The UFC’s attempted to book Jones vs Miocic for the past couple months but have had no success, a bout in September is rumored but no agreement has been announced yet.

Ngannou defeated Miocic in their rematch at UFC 260 in March of 2022 to be crowned the new Heavyweight champion of the UFC, This lead to a bout against Ciryl Gane where he won by unanimous decision, following the win, Ngannou had surgery and the estimated recovery time was they remain out for 9-10 months.
