UFC held its latest fight night card live from Las Vegas, Nevada in the UFC Apex. The action packed event is headlined by two rising Lightweights in Arman Tsarukyan & Mateusz Gamrot. Without any more waiting, the results are in:

Vanessa Demopoulos defeats Jinh Yu Frey via split decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

Vanessa picks up her second win this year after a hard fought battle against Frey. Both competitors battled back and forth on the feet in a close contest that had her seeing double at one point. But in the end, she picked up the split decision win and continues her winning ways in 2022.

Mario Bautista defeats Brian Kelleher via Round One Submission (rear naked choke)

Mario gets the win after a dominating performance, Mario Bautista looked flawless here, doing exactly what he set out to do. Took Brian down, wrestled to his back and choked him to a tap. Good work. After the fight, Mario says he will watch the other Bantamweight fights tonight to scout and determine if he will have a quick turn around.

Cody Durden defeats JP Buys via Round-One TKO (Punches)

Cody keeps the ball rolling with back-to-back first round finishes on this card, and gets his win streak back on track with some nasty ground and pound that wouldn’t let JP get back up. After the fight, Cody Durden says that he belongs here. Well, he just showed it.

Sergey Morozov defeats Raulian Paiva via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

A tough battle between both men that was fairly even until Sergey started to take over late in the fight, solidifying the final round and making sure he walked away with a win. Sergey picks up his first win in 2022 after losing in February. He’s now back on his winning ways.

Sha Yilan defeats TJ Brown via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Sha Yilan gets the decision win in a tough battle that he really turned around as the fight went longer. He used his wrestling to wear down TJ and it played a huge factor later in the rounds. This is now two in a row for him, since last fighting in November.

Carlos Ulberg defeats Tafon Nchukwi via Round-One TKO (punches)

Carlos gets his second win in 2022 with a big TKO victory, he made it look easy tonight with an early stoppage. After the fight, Carlos says he is working to get better every day and will continue to improve his game. Can’t wait to see what he does next.

Chris Curtis defeats Rodolfo Vieira via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Chris Curtis is now on a eight fight win streak now after a hard fought battle here. Rodolfo did get a point taken after two shots below the belt that we can only imagine played a part into the decision of this fight. Afterwards, Chris says he looks forward to hard battles and loves a challenge so he wants more of these.

Umar Nurmagomedov defeats Nathan Maness via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-25)

Dominance. That is all this was. Umar took Nathan down early every round and destroyed him. He made this look easy, though after the fight, the now 15-0 Umar says it was tough, and Nathan is a tough guy. But, he’s looking to be in the top ten and quickly fight his way up to being in a championship position.

Thiago Moisés defeats Christos Giagos via Round-One Submission (rear naked choke)

Back in the win column for Thiago after he was finished twice in a row. Now, he is the one doing the finishing as he makes quick work of Christos with a one-armed rear naked choke. After the fight, Thiago calls out Joe Solecki to a fight. Two grapplers going at it, we’ll take it!

Josh Parisian defeats Alan Baudot via Round-Two TKO (punches)

Josh Parisian is back on his winning ways after losing in December, but now he is back with a TKO stoppage after nearly losing in round one. Post-fight, he says he doesn’t even remember the punch that rocked him early on. But in the end, he survived and got a finish of his own in a big way!

Shavkat Rakhmonov defeats Neil Magny via Round-Two Submission (guillotine)

Shavkat gets another finish and boosts his record up to 16-0. He has won every fight by finish and has never seen a third round, and he was two seconds away from seeing the third tonight but got the tap right as round two was set to end. He will most likely be launched up into the top ten coming next week. After the fight, Shavkat says he will be champion soon, but calls out Stephen Thompson for his next fight, says it would be a good one. Can’t argue with that.

Mateusz Gamrot defeats Arman Tsarukyan via Unanimous Decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47)

This was a fight of the night if I’ve ever seen one. Both of these guys were so evenly matched, reversal after reversal on the ground, tit-for-tat on the feet, anyone could’ve taken it. In the end, Gamrot takes the win, seemingly having the most takedowns got him the edge in this very close encounter and rides a now four fight win streak. What a fight. Afterwards, Gamrot calls for a fight with Justin Gaethje and says he wants another war. Sign me up!

Overall, this was a great card with some fun finishes and a easy fight of the night in the main event from two young guys giving it all they got and that’s really all you could ask for from a fight night card. What a show.
