Three Fights To Look Out For: UFC Vegas 57

This Saturday live on ESPN is UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a battle between two Lightweights, Arman Tsarukyan vs Mateusz Gamrot. But, we’re here to take a look at three fights you should be keeping your eyes on. Lets get into it.

Chris Curtis vs Rodolfo Vieira

This is the first fight on the main card and what a banger to kick off with. Chris Curtis is 2-0 in the UFC with both wins by knockout. Overall, he is on a very impressive 7 fight win streak with only one of those wins not coming by knockout. But, he has a very tall task ahead of him going against Rodolfo Vieira, who is 8-1. 7 of his 8 wins come by way of submission, and the one that wasn’t submission, was a knockout. This fight has all the makings of a firework show and I can almost guarantee there will be a finish. And as well all know, there’s no guarantees in MMA. Make sure to keep your eyes wide open for this one!

Carlos Ulberg vs Tafon Nchukwi

Two very relatively new fighters going at it head to head, both have had ups and downs in their respective, relatively short, UFC careers thus far. Carlos is 4-1, while Tafon is 6-2. Tafon Nchukwi is coming in off of a knockout loss in March, while Carlos Ulberg is coming in off of a unanimous decision win in February. This matchup is a interesting one, because whoever picks up the win leaps ahead of the other one in the division, seemingly leaving the loser left in the dust. Which I can promise you neither of them want to do. Both men are looking to go out there and prove they’re the better of the two “new guys” in the stacked light heavyweight division. Make sure to watch this one.

Umar Nurmagomedov vs Nathan Maness

Last but not least, someone’s UFC undefeated streak has got to be broken. Nathan Maness is 14-1 in his career overall, but in the UFC he is 3-0. He has one decision win, one submission win and one win by knockout. He’s already introduced us to his multitude of talents just in the UFC alone, but this time, it won’t be easy. He is taking on the undefeated 14-0 Umar Nurmagomedov who is 2-0 in the UFC, with both wins coming by way of submission. Neither of these guys want to let go of their 0 in the UFC, so you better bet that they’re coming out with all they have to keep their streak alive. I’m going to predict that this is going to be one of the most exciting fights on the entire card, so you better not be sleeping and look out for this fight!

These are three fights that peak my interest, and should peak yours too. Keep an eye out on these and the rest of the card Saturday, June 24th live on ESPN & ESPN+.
