Jon Moxley Was Told To Retire While In Rehab

Jon Moxley retiring before he wants to is unlikely.

Last year, Moxley entered rehab due to alcoholism and wanting to get through the withdrawal symptoms. He didn’t hide from the attention it brought him and when he returned fans welcomed him back with open arms.

Now Moxley shared on The Sessions with Renee Paquette what the therapist told him to do regarding his wrestling career:

“The one therapist I had straight up told me to retire. She said, ‘Start a wrestling school. Train some kids. You know what the problem is? You gotta get out of there.’ I was like, ‘I don’t think it’s that.’”

It would be a hard task to convince Jon Moxley to do anything he doesn’t want to do. He has shown in the last few months a new life to his work in the ring and on the microphone. Moxley is currently on the road to Forbidden Door and Blood And Guts. He will challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi for the AEW interim World Title at Forbidden Door this Sunday.
