Sonny Kiss Wants More Pushes For LGBTQ+ Talent Year Round

Sonny Kiss wants more LGBT talent to be pushed year round in pro wrestling.

June is Pride Month worldwide and as usual, companies have put spotlight on LGBT+ talent in pro wrestling over the last few weeks. Sonny has been a mainstay of AEW since the company began three years ago but has not seen much TV time in recent months.

Sonny Kiss told Hollywood Life when asked who should get more mainstream recognition in AEW.

“I would like to see all LGBTQ+ professional athletes (signed and unsigned) to keep being seen as sellable and pushed into the mainstream outlets all year round and not just during Pride Month,”

Of course, AEW have been ahead of the mould with pushing LGBT talent. While they are an improvement on WWE, Sonny is right in saying that there still is not a lot of love for LGBT+ stars outside of Pride Month.
