Cody Rhodes Received Major Praise For Hell In A Cell Performance
Good news from the backstage area.
It appears that the WWE higher ups did not expect the performance Cody Rhodes had at WWE Hell In A Cell. In a HIAC match with Seth Rollins, many fans thought it was insane for Cody Rhodes to wrestle with a torn pectoral muscle that was described as being torn right off the bone. The injury was noticeable from the moment Cody made his entrance. Many fans called into question why he was allowed to perform despite such a major injury.
According to a new tweet from Wrestle Votes, Cody Rhodes’ performance at Hell in a Cell was praised backstage. Those in the Gorilla Position loved the match and that likely includes Vince McMahon as he usually posts up in that famous go-to production spot.
I’ve had multiple sources reach out this morning w/ exemplary words for the performance Cody Rhodes put in last night. Credit to Seth Rollins as well. Those at Gorilla were said to have LOVED the match. A modern day, all time classic HIAC that WWE will treat as much going forward

Rhodes is currently scheduled to undergo surgery for the injury on Thursday. Cody will likely miss to up to half a year of action, putting him in the timeframe to return at the 2023 Royal Rumble. With the praise he received backstage, we could be looking at the next Royal Rumble winner.
