WWE Confirms Cody Rhodes Injury On Hell In A Cell Kick-off

It appears that the Cody Rhodes injury is not a work in the slightest.

Cody Rhodes was removed from a Saturday live event and replaced with Drew McIntyre over the weekend and an injury was cited. Fans speculated that this may be a work until WON reported that Cody had indeed suffered a serious injury. However, the injury turned out to be worse than most feared as WWE would announce during the Hell In A Cell Kickoff.

Kayla Braxton would announce that Cody Rhodes had suffered a pectoral tear ‘off the bone’ doing weight lifting. Rhodes will still compete in the main event of Hell In A Cell vs Seth Rollins but time will tell how the match will end up being with such a serious injury.

BREAKING: @CodyRhodes suffered a partially torn right pectoral tendon during a brawl with @WWERollins this past Monday on #WWERaw.

While weight training in preparation, the tendon tore completely off the bone.
