Exclusive: One Half Of The PROGRESS Tag Team Champions The 0121, Man Like Dereiss Is Motivated By The Great Tag Teams That Have Competed For PROGRESS

PROGRESS have had some truly great tag teams compete in the PROGRESS ring over the years including; Swords Of Essex, Aussie Open, CCK, Moustache Mountain, Defend Indy Wrestling, Pretty Deadly, Grizzled Young Veterans and more.

On day 2 of the PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16 Weekend, Saturday the 4th of June the 0121 (Dan Maloney & Man Like Dereiss) must hang their belts high above the PROGRESS ring to compete in a triple threat ladder match with Sunshine Machine (Chuck Mambo & TK Cooper) and the Smokin’ Aces (Charlie Sterling & Nick Riley).

Man Like Dereiss recently appeared on our Tea & Tights A Great British Wrestling Podcast to discuss the 0121’s upcoming match at the PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16.

When asked if he felt any pressure trying to live up to the only other tag team ladder match to have happened in PROGRESS that featured Swords Of Essex (Will Ospreay and Paul Robinson) and Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher).

Man Like Dereiss said that he actually more was motivated by this to make sure Tag Team Wrestling in PROGRESS is at the highest standard saying;

“I know Aussie Open, Will Ospreay and, well Aussie Open and Will more I don’t really know Paul as much and I’ve spoken to them a lot about wrestling, I speak to Will about Wrestling, so they’ve been the standard bearers for a long time, so if anything it makes me more motivated to make sure Tag Team Wrestling in PROGRESS is at the highest standard and putting on incredible matches every show every month and we can’t let the standard ever drop we’re representing British Wrestling.”
