Speculation On Ronda Rousey’s Next Opponent Continues

It is still not known who will face Ronda Rousey next.

When Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of the WWE on Monday’s RAW, the pair have been removed from their previously scheduled storylines, set to face Ronda Rousey and Bianca Belair respectively. While WWE have replaced Naomi on RAW with Asuka, an opponent for Rousey is still up in the air.

Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s dilemma on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave listed several possible opponents that could challenge Rousey for the title. WWE may have to get creative to find something that works.

“That was never the plan [for Ronda Rousey to have a rematch against Raquel Gonzalez]. The plan was Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks. So, now they have to make a new plan. You’ve got Raquel Gonzalez, you’ve got Natalya, you’ve got Shayna. Who else you got?”

“You could do Becky Lynch, but they’re not going to do Ronda Rousey – Becky Lynch. You know, Bianca Belair and Asuka are together, it’s not going to be that. So yeah, you could send Carmella or whatever. You could send Rhea Ripley.”
