Killer Kross Liked The Idea Of His Gladiator Gimmick For Someone Else

Killer Kross had a rough end to his WWE career.

Despite being pushed for a majority of his run with the company, Killer Kross’ end in the promotion took a strange turn. His entire character was changed upon his main roster callup, wearing a mask in his entrance while also removing Scarlett and his entire NXT presentation. Both talents would later be released from the WWE.

Kross and Bordeaux recently spoke with Wrestling Inc. Daily regarding WWE’s decision to re-debut him with the gladiator look and how he felt it could’ve worked for someone else.

“That would have been a great character for somebody else that didn’t have a character that was already previously carved out. So, when I looked at it, and assessed it, I thought, ‘maybe they want to make Halloween costumes.’ Going back to monetizing stuff, ‘they’re just overlooking, they want to put a fresh coat of paint on it because it’s going up.’ I entertained it as best I could, and then when October rolled around, and there’s no Halloween costume, I said, ‘okay, well this could be problematic.”
