Hikaru Shida Cites Travel Issues, Not Injury, For Owen Hart Cup Withdrawal

Hikaru Shida is not injured as previously thought.

Hikaru Shida was pulled from the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s tournament earlier this week, being replaced by Kris Statlander in the tournament vs Red Velvet. Reports speculated when Shida was pulled that she had suffered an injury and that was why she was pulled from the tournament. However, Shida has come forward now with a different story.

Shida would take to Twitter to explain why she was replaced in the tournament:

Hopefully we will see the former AEW Women’s Champion back in the ring sooner rather than later. What do you make of Shida’s replacement in the Owen Hart foundation tournament? Let us know in the comments!
