Tetsuya Naito Will Undergo Eye Surgery For Second Time

In the early hours of Sunday morning, NJPW put on their Wrestling Dontaku event. This event was headlined by the IWGP Heavyweight Championship match between Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito and after over 30 minutes, Okada came out on top. Unfortunately, this may be the last we see of Naito for a little while.

Tokyo Sports stated the following in an article posted following the huge match at Wrestling Dontaku:

“Tetsuya Naito will undergo an eye surgery to ease the problem he has with the superior oblique muscle of his right eye. He had the same surgery in November 2019 but he began to suffer from double vision since last summer and was forced to perform with anxiety about his condition”

It would appear that once again, Naito is having issues with his sight and is more than willing to once again undergo eye surgery if it means extending his time in the ring.
