WWE Looking To Run Even More Stadium Shows In 2023

Stadium shows in professional wrestling used to be rare. Wrestlemania was usually the annual stadium shows and even then some WrestleMania’s have took place in arena’s.

Currently, WWE are set to run eight stadium events throughout 2022 but Andrew Zarian of The Wrestling Observer reports that this number will rise in 2023.

This is an interesting development, considering that WWE seem more than happy to host Premium Live Events in arenas for a long time, using stadiums as Zarian mentioned, give them more wiggle room for attendance. The show would not have to be a sell out and the extra room would be more beneficial than an arena that maxes out at 15,000 in attendance. Time will tell if WWE will upgrade more PPV’s to stadium shows.
