Discovery/Warner Media Merger Could Potentially Lead To An AEW Streaming Service

WWE are ahead of AEW in many ways that make the global juggernaut the most successful wrestling company on the planet. One such way is the Peacock/WWE Network streaming service they offer.

All of the WWE’s video library as well as monthly PPV’s are present on the network and if AEW were to have a similar streaming service – it could lead to a lot more profits for Tony Khan.

While speaking on “What Happened When…” on “AdFreeShows.com”, Tony Schiavone stated that he believes the Discovery/Warner media merger will lead to AEW’s streaming service.

“If this merger comes, and as we’ve been reading, they’ve been clearing out a lot of people, it seems to me they are really big into streaming services. What I hope this means is that we are finally going to have a streaming service. In other words, we are finally going to have our own network where we can show our old shows.”

An AEW streaming service would definitely be welcome for fans, even with AEW’s short life as a wrestling promotion, fans would love to have all of AEW’s library in one place while also offering live PPV streaming services. If Tony is right, we may see it sooner rather than later with the merger taking place.
