PROGRESS Joins WWE In Wales In September

It was recently announced that WWE would be hosting a Premium Live Event at the Principality stadium in Cardiff Wales on the 3rd September for the first time since 2002. The show has been warmly welcomed by the British Wrestling fans with the show pre-sale sign ups for this event, surpassing all previous WWE records in a 24 hour time frame.

Yesterday PROGRESS announced that they would be joining the WWE in Wales that same weekend with “Wrestling ,Golf, Madrid In That Order” a reference to Welsh football star Gareth Bale who spent time playing for Real Madrid whilst also playing plenty of Golf.

The show is set to take place the day after the WWE’s Premium Live Event on the 4th of September at the Tramshed in Cardiff.

New Co Owner Lee McAteer had this to say on the show;

“As soon as we saw that WWE were making Cardiff their destination for a major stadium show, we knew that PROGRESS had to be part of this unique occasion. This will be the biggest weekend on these shores since Summerslam 1992 at Wembley Stadium, and we want to show all the fans who will be in Cardiff exactly why PROGRESS remains the number one wrestling brand in the UK.”

Tickets for “Wrestling, Golf, Madrid In That Order” went on sale this morning and already only few of the first batch tickets remain.

This is the 2nd show PROGRESS have announced for Cardiff Wales as part of the Deadly Viper Tour, PROGRESS presents ‘Snake Charmer’ also at the Tramshed in Cardiff on the 16th of September.

This Weekend PROGRESS host the Atlas Tournament over two days on the 17th and 18th of April, to crown the first new Atlas champion in the 3 years, former WWE stars Big Damo (Kilian Dain), Axel Tischer (Alexander Wolfe) and Jonah (Bronson Reed) are all set to be part of the tournament.
