Further Update On Potential Release Date For AEW Console Game

Wrestling and video game fans have eagerly been awaiting the release of the upcoming AEW video game ever since it’s announcement, and it sounds like we may know more about when to expect it’s highly anticipated release.

There has been a further update on a potential release date for the upcoming, and as of yet unnamed AEW Console Game. As first reported by Fightful Select, the initial plan for a release of the console game was for 2022, with no fixed date in mind. Following further developments, it is now believed that the release of the first AEW console game is scheduled for this coming September.

“Fightful Select has learned that as of this week, there was a tentative internal release date for late September for AEW’s upcoming console video game. We were told that there was plenty of work to be done then, but that the plan has long been for the game to release this year, and that September is widely regarded as the target as of now.”

This September release date, is still very much a tentative target, and it is believed that a publisher has now come on board for the Kenny Omega led project, however they are yet to be publicly announced. This would be third game released under the ‘AEW Games’ banner following the release of mobile games ‘AEW Casino’ and ‘AEW General Manager’.
