NWA Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona has been announced for the WAW Fightmare IV in the UK on the 15th of October, where he will face Ricky Knight Jr.
The announcement was made via WAW social media platforms earlier this evening;
Ricky Knight Jr is the nephew of WWE star Paige, at just 21 years of age Ricky Knight Jr is already a main eventer in the UK including a fantastic match at Rev Pro UK High Stakes 2021 alongside Will Ospreay.
Cardona released from the WWE in April of 2020 and has seen a resurgence on the US Independent scene as well as runs with Impact Wrestling and Game Changer Wrestling including becoming GCW world champion.
A recent run in NWA has seen Cardona become NWA Heavyweight Champion after he defeated then champion Trevor Murdoch at NWA’s Power trip on the 12th of February earlier this year.

WAW was founded in 1994 by Ricky Knight Senior and is considered to be one of the premier promotions in the South East of England, it was featured the WWE film Fighting with My Family, Fightmare has become one of the promotions biggest annual shows.
