Jonathan Gresham Expected To Sign With AEW

Not much was known of what would become of ROH after it was announced that the company would be taking a hiatus during the first quarter of 2022. Questions also lingered about the status of many of the talent whose contracts were set to expire or had been ended after the announcement.

One of those contracts was the current Ring pf Honor Champion Jonathan Gresham. It now looks like with the acquisition of ROH by AEW, President Tony Khan, Gresham will soon be inking a deal with AEW/ROH according to Fightful.

Fightful has spoken to numerous sources who indicate the working plan is for Jonathan Gresham to sign with AEW/ROH, and noted that he is expected to work AEW dates. We’ve also heard there were discussions to integrate Supercard of Honor into the announcement of the deal being made, however, that’s far from confirmed.

Neither Gresham nor AEW authorities have yet to confirm this news. He has not signed a deal with IMPACT, according to sources, and they expect him to be in AEW soon. Gresham has defended the championship in a variety of promotions, including PROGRESS where he recently defeated Cara Noir in a Championship vs Championship match.
