Cody Rhodes No Longer Listed On WWE’s Internal WrestleMania 38 Documents

Last week, we at Bodyslam.net exclusively reported that talks between Cody Rhodes and WWE had “fizzled out.” At the time there were conflicting reports, but now it looks like that is no longer the case.

On Friday afternoon, reports came out stating that, “Cody, as of an hour ago, still on internal documents for WrestleMania. No other information available.” However, it seems those plans have changed. Yesterday, Dave Meltzer reported that there had been a definite change in status between Cody Rhodes and WWE, and that creative was informed late Friday night.

A new report this morning from Ringside News is now saying that Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania status has changed, and he has been removed from all internal WrestleMania documents.

Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania status has changed.

We can confirm this is true. Not three hours after we reported that he was on Mania documents, the creative team was informed that things changed.

We can now confirm that Cody Rhodes was taken off all WrestleMania documents.

Our exclusive report last week also stated that “there is hope that Cody can be brought back into the AEW fold. The idea was floated to me that there might be a possibility again, with a new role involving the ROH acquisition.” We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Cody Rhodes’ and his Free Agent status.
